Medieval Nishapur in the 9th and 10th centuries was a center for intellectualism, art, literature, and learning. Under the Tahirid dynasty, the city became their capital and flourished under their rule. The arabesque medallion above dates to 10th century Nishapur and was part of a wall panel. This pattern displays the arabesque in its early artistic form. We wanted to bring this interesting historic pattern to this home decor pillow in order to bring a little history and old world charm to your world. It's an age old design and beautiful depiction of the historical evolution of arabesques in the medieval world in a modern and cool 18 x 18 inch printed pillow.Note: All pillow designs can be customized to match the colors you want. It was okay. I wish I read the description more. I was expecting an embroidered pillow with some color but just know it’s stark white, and screen printed. However, my SO was very excited about it
