IN STOCK: This 9-inch diameter mixed media artwork depicts a wood-burned image of a Fatimid gazelle. The gazelle motif we used here originally appears on a medieval ceramic piece made in 11th century Egypt. We took parts of that design and reimagined it here on this modern interpretation of a medieval work of art. The gazelle is a graceful creature that has continuously captivated onlookers. In classical Arabic poetry, the gazelle symbolized the beloved - of whose glimpse would bring a lover a lot of joy and tranquility. That is why we have titled this colorful reimagined reference to that medieval motif as 'Love is Love!.
